Description
The design of the Albarelle Petit is based on the shape of the old french pot d’apothicaire or apothecary jars. Historically, the model was mostly used to store jam, conserved fruits, and medicines. It is a shape often seen on the top shelves of pharmacies in Paris or in old delicatessen shops around the 5th arrondissement of Paris holding pickled vegetables or sweet fruits. Need a slightly larger size? Take a look at the Albarelle Grand. Or take both to create a nice set!
These are entirely made by hand and each creation is unique. Therefore, there may be a slight variation in color, texture, and size between each piece. On the base of each item, you can feel the pontil mark left by the glassblower’s cane. The presence of this mark indicates that the glass was blown freehand. This is the beauty of handmade.
This Albarelle Petit is available in transparent and does not pair with a cork top.
